How to make 2024 the best year of your life

New Year, New Me - is what a lot of people tell themselves every year.
They want to start working out, read more, eat healthier, save money, travel, etc…
Yet they end up with the same bad habits, problems, and feelings of wanting more. They stay the same and never grow.
To prevent that from happening to YOU again this year. Here are the 3 steps to make 2024 the best year you ever had. (yes, this is an interactive newsletter)
1. Reflecting on 2023
Key Events:
What actually happened in 2023? Take a look through your calendar and note down the key moments from each month.
Major Milestones:
What were the 3-5 most significant events or achievements in 2023 for you? How did these impact your life?
Gratitude:
What are you most grateful for in 2023? Think about people, experiences, or opportunities that enriched your life.
Unfulfilled Aspirations:
Were there goals or aspirations you had for 2023 that you did not achieve? Reflect on why they were not met and how you feel about it.
We look through our calendar (if you don’t use one, start ASAP, the ROI is insane) to see what we actually did this year. Write down 2-3 highlights per month.
By looking at our wins, losses, challenges overcome, growth made, and being grateful for what happened, we can see and rewind what happened in 2023.
Many people aren’t in the present moment, they will continue to live exactly how they did last year.
Being mindful about how you spend your time is very, very important.
2. Finding our north star
Take your time with these. The goal is to find the things you actually care about and have a burning passion for. Hence, what would you do, even if you knew you’d fail at it?
The Ideal Tuesday Prompt:
What does your ideal ordinary Tuesday look like? What are you doing? Who are you with? How are you spending your time? What makes this day perfect for you?
This is to see what you actually value and want out of life.
This is what mine would look like:
Morning walk/run to the gym
Boxing/ combat sport training
4 hours of deep work on a cool/ creative personal project
Lunch with friends
Creative tasks (Making music, Reading, Painting?)
Working out (alone / with friends)
Creative tasks
Football training

What would you like to do, if you knew you couldn’t fail?
The Fail-Proof Dream Prompt:
What would you like to do, even if you knew you’d fail at it?
3. Setting goals for 2024
Now to the good part of this newsletter (not that it sucked before, hopefully). We write down our dreams and goals.
3a Dreams
Here are some inspirations (get as creative as possible):
What do you want to learn?
What do you want to see?
What do you want to have?
Who do you want to be?
What do you want to try?
What do you want to do?
Where do you want to go?
What do you want to create?
What do you want to contribute to?
What do you want to overcome?
Write down anything and everything you can think of.
3b Goals
Now, to realize our dreams.
You should have a big list of dreams by now. Look through your list and mark every dream achievable in one year as we focus on 2024.
Example:
If you are 18 and one of your dreams is to marry at 26, this obviously wouldn’t get selected. (It’s still excellent to think about your future and what you want)
Now, look at your list again.
We marked every dream that is achievable in one year.
Reduce the list to 3 things:
1. Health related
2. Relationships related
3. Wealth related
3 goals are plenty enough, and those 3 pillars will help you level up.
How do we make those goals become reality:
For every goal, write down WHY, WHEN (you don’t need to write anything here because we want it this year), and HOW.
By doing this, we create an actual plan that we can use.
My example:
‘Make 5k/m’
WHY?
Money
Can afford the lifestyle I want
Buy the stuff I want
Eat what I want
Travel
Feel cool
Move out
WHEN?
Taken care of
HOW?
Work with a Mentor/ someone ahead of me
Do what he says 😅
Show up every day for ~ 4 hours
Don’t quit
Write down your 3 major goals for 2024 and check your plan on how you will achieve them WEEKLY.
So:
Mindfully reflect on 2023
Take your time with the prompts in the 2. section to get a feeling of what you value in life
List dreams
Get precise with those dreams in the form of goals
Focus on 3 major goals
